Trafigura 2011 Home Run

benefiting Houston’s Ronald McDonald House

Registration is now open for the Trafigura 2011 Home Run 10K and 2K event benefiting Houston’s Ronald McDonald House to be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011.

The 10K Run and 2K Family Walk will start and finish at Sam Houston Park at 1100 Bagby Street.
The 10K Run begins at 8:00am and will take participants through Downtown and along Allen Parkway.
There will be 3 water stations along the 10K route at roughly the 3K, 5K, and 7K Marks.
The 10K course is USATF certified and disposable chip timing will be conducted by Run Wild Sports Timing.
Each entrant will receive a commemorative T-shirt.
The first 200 10K run entrants will receive a unique runners tech-shirt.
Porta-cans will be located inside Sam Houston Park.
Complimentary gatorade, water, sodas, coffee and food will be set up inside Sam Houston Park for participants to enjoy following the race.
The 2K Family Walk starts at 9:00am and will take participants along Allen Parkway.
The 2K Family Walk is open to families (and their dogs!), and each 2K registrant will receive a special medal.
The post-race party begins at 9:00am with loads of family friendly entertainment and refreshments.
The awards ceremony is scheduled for 9:30am.
Packet pick-up will be at Luke’s Locker, 1953 W. Gray, on December 1-2, or from 6:45am to 7:45 a.m. at Sam Houston Park on race day.
The 10K fee is $30 until November 27 and $35 thereafter.
The 2K fee is $25 per person or $50 for a family of 4 ppl max
