Q. What happens with the proceeds of the race?
A. All proceeds will go toward furthering the mission of Houston’s Ronald McDonald House, offering a home away from home providing care, compassion and hope to families with seriously ill children being treated in Texas Medical Center member institutions.

Q. When and where do I pick up my packet?
A. Packet pick-up will be at Luke’s Locker, 1953 W. Gray, on December 1-2 from 12noon - 7:00pm or from 6:45am to 7:45 am at Sam Houston Park on race day.
Q. Can I register the day of the race?
A. Yes, registration will be open the day of the event at Sam Houston Park from 6:45am to 7:45am.
Q. Where is the course and will it be certified?
A. The 10K course is USATF certified. The 10K Run and 2K Family Walk will start and finish at Sam Houston Park at 1100 Bagby Street. The 10K Run will begin at 8:00am and will take participants through Downtown and along Allen Parkway. The 2K Family Walk starts at 9:00am and will take participants along Allen Parkway.
Q. How will I be timed?
A. Disposable chip timing will be conducted by Run Wild Sports Timing for the 10K Run.
Q. Can I walk the 10K race?
A. Yes, you may walk, walk/run, or run as long as you can complete the course within 4 hours.
Q. Can I bring my dog?
A. You are welcome to bring your dog for the 2K Family Walk and to the post-race. However, dogs will not be allowed on the 10K course.
Q. Can I run the 10k with a stroller?
A. Yes.
Q. Is parking available?
A. Please make use of the available street parking or parking lots.
Q. What about the weather - will the race be held if it’s raining?
A. Yes, the race will be held “rain or shine.” However, if the weather threatens the safety of the participants, the race will be canceled.
Q. How do I get my results?
A. Chip timing will be provided by Run Wild Sports and results will be available at the finish line as well as online.
